Each Elementary
TeamKID meeting follows the same basic outline
WARM-UP (Arrival)
This activity or game encourages the children to feel
that they are part of the group. During this short time, TEAM
members will be introduced in a fun way to some of the learning that
lies ahead. Each WARM-UP activity allows for the involvement of
early and late arrivers. WARM-UP is led by the TeamKID
Recreation Captain.
WORKOUT
The bulk of the content for the meeting is taught
during WORKOUT. The TeamKID Head Coach will lead in the
opening ceremonies. Then the children will be divided into small
groups where the TeamKID Coaches will lead in fun, innovative
methods that make learning different from others times of learning the
children may experience at church. Hearing or experiencing a
Bible story, learning a Bible verse, and praying are always part of
WORKOUT.
REACH OUT
Each week children will either learn about missions or
do a missions action project with their TeamKID Coach and
Assistant Coaches. A missions DVD produced by the IMB and
NAMB will be used in 18 of the meetings and will be led by the
TeamKID Reach Out Coach.
STRETCHING
At this time, TEAM members will participate in fun
activities that will help them learn the Bible verse and say it aloud
from memory. During STRETCHING, children can say the verses to
earn points.
THE TOURNAMENT
Team members eagerly anticipate this portion of the
meeting. Games and other activities are used to further teach
and to apply the Bible truths that have been presented. TEAM
members and coaches will run, play, and laugh during this time.
Led by the TeamKID Recreation Captain, THE TOURNAMENT will help
apply the truths taught during WORKOUT and REACH OUT.
COOL DOWN
Before team members are dismissed, help them calm down
and refocus on what they learned in the meeting. The
Refreshment Captain will help prepare the refreshments. The
conclusion, led by the TeamKID Coaches, prepare the children to
go home and apply what they learned.
